ADHD is a developmental disorder characterized by persistent behaviors of inattention, hyperactivity, and/or impulsivity. These symptoms can notably disrupt an individual’s daily functioning and interpersonal relationships. Typically starting in childhood, ADHD may persist into adolescence and adulthood.
