Scheduling & Cancellation
A minimum of a 24-hour notice is required for rescheduling and cancellations. We have a cancelation or no show fee of $50 for established patients who cancel less than 24 hours before an appointment or miss their appointment. Patients arriving to their appointment greater than 10 minutes late, the provider may cancel and reschedule their appointment. If you choose to continue the appointment after you arrive, we will not extend the visit. Please keep in mind that 3 or more consecutive missed appointments and No Shows without proper notification may result in being discharged from our practice. Frequent cancellations or last-minute changes can disrupt providers schedule and impact the care they provide to other patients.
Medication Refills & Prescribing
Refill request may be denied if you incur multiple no shows or cancellations and requires a scheduled appointment to be evaluated. We understand certain situations or emergencies may occur and a one-time bridge refill per year may be provided outside of your regular scheduled appointment.
Patients can prepare for appointments by maintaining an updated medication list that includes the names of all prescribed medications, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and supplements. They should also include information about the dosage and frequency of each medication.
If new medications have been prescribed since the last appointment, it’s crucial for the healthcare provider to be aware of them. This allows for a comprehensive understanding of the patient’s current treatment plan.
Cervello Psychiatry does not prescribe or continue prescriptions for benzodiazepines. Instead, we offer alternative regimens and treatments to support our patients’ mental health needs. Our focus is on providing comprehensive care that includes evidence-based approaches, therapy modalities, lifestyle modifications, and non-benzodiazepine medications to promote holistic well-being and effective management of mental health conditions.
FMLA/Short Term Disability
Cervello Psychiatry may provide paperwork for established patients only (6 months minimum) on a case by case basis. An appointment is necessary to discuss and complete all paperwork. Please keep in mind we don’t assist with long term disability applications.
Other Service Fees
Additional fees on a time-for-service basis may be incurred for established patients including and not limited to emails, letters, phone calls. Billing on a time-for-service basis means that fees are determined based on the actual time spent by the healthcare provider on the specific service. This approach aims to fairly compensate providers for the time and expertise they dedicate to patient care outside of face-to-face appointments.
